1. How can I separate work calls and personal calls at home?
When you answer a call transferred by Touchdown Offices it will announce the call and ask you to press # to accept the call. This has two advantages when you are at home:
1) If it is out of hours and you do not want to answer a work call simply hang up. The caller will have only heard a ringing tone and will then transfer to the message service you have chosen.
2) If there are other people in your household and they answer the telephone, they will know the call is for you. This means you do not get other people or children inadvertently answering your work calls.

2. Can I keep my existing telephone numbers?
Yes you can. The majority of our customers are existing businesses who have spent money on stationery and advertising showing their existing telephone numbers, so it is unrealistic for us to offer a service that demands new numbers are used. Your existing fixed line and mobile telephones can be set to divert calls to Touchdown Offices if you do not answer (see how do I divert calls?)

3. How can this service save me money?
Many people divert their fixed line telephone to their mobile, but you pay for line rental and the diverted part of the call which BT charge at around 18 pence per minute. The problem comes if you move to a new location to work and there is a perfectly good fixed line telephone that you could use because your diverted calls are still coming to your mobile and you can not change the divert. If you divert your calls via Touchdown Offices you can easily get your calls to come to the fixed line telephone and the cost of the diverted call will be about 80% cheaper than diverting to your mobile. It does not take many calls like this each month to cover the cost of the subscription.

5. How will I know when I have new messages

6. My team are at different locations, how can Touchdown Offices help?
The Touchdown Number service allows members of the team to help each other out by answering calls, even though they are at different locations. If someone is not available and the call goes to one of their colleagues, the colleague will hear an announcement so they know who the call was for and they can answer appropriately.

|
7. How do you know where to route the calls to?
At the core of the system is your Touchdown Number. You keep the Touchdown Number updated as to your location for receiving calls and it will connect the caller to you. It provides a telephone menu and web page for changing your settings and a central mailbox for all your messages.
|
|
8. What do callers hear when they call my Touchdown Number?
The callers only hear ringing so they do not know that the call is being transferred to your location.
|
|
9. What equipment do I need?
Touchdown have made the investment in the equipment so you dont need to. You can be up and running with a standard telephone receiving calls and creating the right image for your business.
